Classroom Update
BARRANDHANG (Kinder/Yr 1) and Dinawan (Year 2/3)
Bidyin (Year 4/5/6)
For Term 2, we dived into our first Passion Projects as part of our project-based homework. This term, students had the opportunity to explore topics they were truly passionate about—or even try something new! Over five weeks, they researched, created, and followed a structured plan to bring their ideas to life. They began by brainstorming ideas, choosing a final project, and setting goals. Then, they spent time researching and planning before getting hands-on with building and creating. By Week 9, they were excited to present their finished projects and reflect on their learning at the assembly. In Week 10, they wrapped up with a 5-minute presentation to share their journeys and what they had created.
The students should all be incredibly proud of themselves for their efforts and what they achieved in just five weeks. A massive thank you to all families who supported their child in these projects and attended the presentations! Additionally, a heartfelt thank you for the positive feedback regarding the change in how homework has been approached this year. Project-based homework offers many valuable learning opportunities and essential skills like problem-solving, responsibility, and time management—skills they will need for high school and real-world situations. It also provides students with a meaningful and memorable learning experience, shared with family or friends.
A huge congratulations to all students and families—Mrs. Fyfe is beyond proud!
